Illustrator - rationale

Brief:
Produce a series of 26 visual variations based on one letterform. you are restricted to using black and one other colour and it is to be produced in CMYK. You can however experiment with opacity and half tones.

Who needs to know?
The audience will be the course tutors when this module comes to be assessed.

What do they need to know?
They need to know that i have explored and experimented with the skills i already had and the ones i learnt in the workshops to create a range of visually interesting letterforms that are still legible after a process of creation and or manipulation.

Why do they need to know?
They need to know in order to see what standard of work i can produce on illustrator given the time period and whether it is sufficient enough to have answered the brief.
What will they respond to?
They will respond to an A1 landscape sheet of 26 letterforms that are presented in a 13 x 2 layout.

What research is required?
The research will by into letterforms and fonts that already exist and that influence me visually. Also further research into tools and useful functions on illustrator may be beneficial on top of the work done in the workshops.
