Tetley's Design Job - DVD label designs and development.

These are designs and developments for the DVD label. I have used a photo that i took whilst photographing the old Tetley's sign and made it into a sort of beer mat type design as I previously had planned. Jon suggested editing the name of the film and the caption into the photo so it wouldn't just be a cropped and adjusted image.

Below I have experimented with vectoring the entire image to make the image flat and less like a photograph. The Image works well either way so it would be a matter of preference from Jon on which look to go for.

In the designs below I have also incorporated the Northern Film School's logo changing the positioning of it each time to see how it can compliment the design and not become reductive and/or alien to the overall aesthetic.

Above is one of my personal favourites as I've turned the logo into part of the Huntsman's jacket by placing it where his top pocket would be. However i think that the one at the bottom of this post id the most effective.

The ones with the logo on the hat and the outer black ring of the image I feel don't work as well and aren't bring much to the design.

This final design I think is the best, it looks tidier than the rest as I have moved the words closer together which also makes it more readable and I have changed the position of the DVD's information the image looks more balanced.
