PRODUCER - JONATHAN CLOUGH
Jonathan Clough, producer and researcher of Quality Pays, is a final year film and moving image production student at Leeds Metropolitan University. Other broadcast credits include the Northern Arts Prize film produced in partial fulfilment of an internship with Anita Morris Associates, first aired on Sky Arts 18/10/10. He is also co-founder and station manager of national award-winning student television station, Met TV, which, combined with his work on the Students’ Representative Council, led to his being elected the Associate President Development at Leeds Met Students’ Union. Alongside these activities, he plans to pursue a career in documentary film-making, and is always looking for exciting projects about social and political change.

DIRECTOR - TOM APPLEBY
Tom Appleby is a film director who has previously worked on several large projects including short films and documentaries. He has been working in the film industry as a freelance camera operator, film editor and director for the last 6 years. He is currently studying in his final year at the Northern Film School for his bachelor’s degree in film and moving image production and has prior to that completed a foundation degree in film and television production. His is currently working on directing an untitled short film which will go into production in the summer.
ABOUT THE FILM
Quality Pays is a documentary film about the closure of the world famous Tetley’s Brewery in Leeds.This film explores the relationship between new owners Carlsbergs UK and other skeptics throughout Yorkshire.
