People - stimulus - choice - response

nee to continually expand your circle of interest into you circle of concern

Three environments

Internal (you)
Micro (friends, competitors, practitioners)
Macro (economics, world market conditions, politics)

The majority of your focus should be on your Micro environment as you have little control on your Macro environment and will most probably have full control over your Internal environment.

Kholberg's Theory

Pre-conventional - dependant - 'I want', 'Why should I?' - infantile and selfish

Conventional - independent - 'I would be happy to help', 'Your needs' - adult and considerate

Post-conventional - interdependent - 'We can', 'Together' - progressive and professional

6. Pause

- pause to listen - give all your attention. Give yourself over to the moment completely, no distractions
- empathise, walk in someones shoes
- don't reiterate of interpret - just listen
do you really know how they feel or are  you saying how your feel?

Seek first to understand; then be understood.

Learn your differences.

9. Pit Stop

- rest - renew - revitalise
explore - challenge - excited

upgrade yourself and stay up to date - you never stop learning and technology will force you to learn new skills and develop the way you work and approach things creatively.

10. Propel

- extinguish your fears
- exude confidence
- instil faith

never use words like 'Just' and 'Only' when talking about yourself - say what you are and say it with confidence. Show off a little to prove yourself to your clients.
